We’re looking for an Account Executive to work alongside our Head of Sales to drive revenue for the expanding Overheard business. The position is perfect for an entrepreneurial, creative, social-first seller with a successful track record of growing revenue, exceeding goals, and fostering client relationships.

Sales Team

<h2>RESPONSIBILITIES</h2>
<ul><li>Work alongside our Head of Sales to manage the full sales cycle on all Overheard platform content for inbound and new outbound opportunities</li><li>Achieve and surpass individual sales and team revenue sales goals and build a runway for significant year-over-year growth</li><li>Respond to and manage inbound leads from RFP to submission and work closely cross department on launch and wrap</li><li>Work strategically to prospect new clients that align with the Overheard brand tone</li><li>Renew existing client partners and form long-term partnerships vs one-off campaign collaborations</li><li>Build strategic tiered custom media plans and proposal decks for clients across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, text, newsletters, podcasts, and events</li><li>Confidently negotiate RFP pricing, terms and conditions </li><li>Stay current with all social media emerging trends and best practices</li></ul>

<h2>QUALIFICATIONS</h2>
<ul><li>Minimum of 4 years digital media experience across planning and sales support teams, with at least 1 year of direct sales experience for custom social-first content</li><li>Deep understanding of media sales terms and formulas like CPMS, impressions, CTR, etc.</li><li>Experience building strategic and creative tiered media plans to craft both standard and complex proposals</li><li>Excellent client relationships with a focus on retaining / growing existing clients and converting new business </li><li>Extremely organized and excellent proposal writing and proposal presentation skills, especially for larger multi-platform and strategic opportunities</li><li>Loves social-first content, strategizing ways to continuously improve products and sales partnership packages, and making a cultural impact on and off social</li><li>Creative spirit and sense of humor welcomed</li><li>Overheard is local and city specific, so you’ll need to be plugged into city trends and culture in LA and NY. Living in LA or NY would be ideal but not essential.</li></ul>

We’re looking for a few Local Correspondents in Los Angeles to join our growing team. This is a part-time role and is perfect for someone who’s obsessed with LA culture, loves creating funny content for millennials and Gen Z, and wants to tell the world about what’s really going on in the city.

<h2>RESPONSIBILITIES</h2>
Clearly you need to live in LA but more importantly, you need to be in the know. We’re going to pay you because you’re plugged into the city and create amazing content, so it’s essential you have an active social life, a cool group of friends, and frequent the hot restaurants, health clubs, and parties.
This is a remote and part-time role so you’ll need to manage your own time well and be a real self starter.
The specific responsibilities are:
<ul><li>Having your eyes and ears open all the time for funny, interesting, intriguing trends happening in LA</li><li>Creating amazing content true to the Overhead brand</li><li>Calling, texting, emailing, or Slacking the Overheard team daily so we know what’s going on in the city</li><li>Collaborating with the internal creative team on our Instagram, TikTok, Text Community, Clubhouse and Twitter accounts</li></ul>
You will report to our Content Director.

Looking for a recent Gen Z graduate who we can call our “unpaid intern,” despite having a larger starting salary than any of us.
